Quoin

Cornerstones or specially shaped masonry units used to reinforce and accent building corners. Quoins may be structural, providing additional strength at corners, or decorative, creating visual emphasis through contrasting materials, colors, or textures. They often alternate between longer and shorter units in each course to create an interlocking pattern.
