A Guelph homeowner needed their chimney rebuilt—21 courses of brick had deteriorated, and the old cap was no longer keeping water out. The chimney sat above the roofline where Ontario weather hits hardest, and it showed.

The chimney repair required scaffolding to reach the work area safely. We took down the damaged structure course by course and rebuilt it with Sundance Matte Ontario brick—126 bricks total, matched as close as possible to the existing masonry. A new 8×8 concrete cap went on top to shed water away from the flue and protect the fresh mortar joints underneath.

This Guelph chimney rebuild is solid and weathertight. The brick matches, the cap is sealed, and the homeowner doesn’t have to think about it through another Ontario winter.
